Ongoing programs offer a great opportunity for learning new
skills and making more permanent lifestyle changes. The following
programs delivered over a number of weeks, can provide real opportunities
for your employees to implement new strategies in their everyday
lives. The following provide a brief description of just some
of the programs available.

Weight Watchers at Work Program - This at
work program uses a nutritionally sound, flexible approach to
weight management. Experts in the areas of nutrition, psychology
and exercise sciences developed this program. A supportive group
environment is formed to achieve and maintain personal goals. (Please note that Weight Watchers requires a minimum number of participants to offer at work programs.)
Power Walking - Power walking is a dynamic
form of exercise that can challenge any fitness level. From the
novice exerciser to advanced fitness enthusiast, this program
can accommodate the participants' needs. A qualified instructor will lead
participants through an enriching program providing the skills necessary
to reach their goals.
Yoga - Yoga is a program of stretching, breathing
and concentration techniques that explores the connection between
body, mind and spirit. Yoga stretches and tones muscles, increases
the range of motion in the joints, strengthens the spine, builds
endurance and vitality, and helps to calm and focus the mind.
Pilates - Pilates is a method of strength training
that corrects muscle imbalances created by occupational and recreational
habits. Core strength and flexibility is developed without adding
bulk to muscles. The program is designed to progress through
a series of exercises to improve muscle tone, balance, coordination,
flexibility, strength circulation and body awareness.
Tai Chi - Tai Chi is a gentle and effective
from of exercise for all ages and fitness abilities. Through
gentle stretching and turning movements, Tai Chi improves circulation,
joint flexibility, coordination and balance. This form of exercise
is also recognized as a great way to relieve stress and improve
concentration.
Dance Lessons - Dance offers participants a fun and energizing way to get active.
Strength Tek offers a number of beginner classes including Jazz,
Hip Hop, Tap Dance, Latin (i.e. Salsa & Merengue) and many
more! Strength Tek's dance classes teach basic dance
elements broken down step by step.
Spinning Classes - This workout can accommodate any level of fitness, whether the participant is new to the sport or is a tri-athlete! The physical challenge of cycling is energized with the motivational benefit of music, visualization and group dynamics.
Group Fitness (Aerobic Classes) - The group
fitness programs at Strength Tek offer a variety of fitness modalities
to accommodate any level. Worksite fitness classes feature low
impact, step and toning programming. Our enthusiastic team of
highly qualified instructors make each workout fun, efficient and effective. |
